Well, its here! Tameo Kits latest release is a full detail kit of Emerson Fittipaldi’s 1972 championship winning Lotus 72D (kit WCT 72). Amongst the most beautiful single-seaters from the history of grand prix racing, this is a true icon and a wonderful addition to the Tameo range. Let’s open the box…
All kit components are bagged and securely packed.
We start with the decal placement guide, which also provides a view of the completed model. An instantly recognizable silhouette, dressed in a gorgeous livery.
The instructions provide detailed build and painting steps as well as some images of the real car.
Attention is immediately drawn to the decals which are sharply printed and include race numbers and the accurate metallic gold pinstripes for 1972.
Following Tameo’s typical approach, the kit includes cast metal and photo-etch parts, rubber tyres, various detail parts including metal rod and wire mesh, decals and full colour instructions. Of note, the kit includes turned aluminum wheels and pre-printed tire logos.
Engine parts feature accurate surface detail and will be a focus on attention once the model is complete.
