Tameo Kits latest release under the Montegrosso brand (MTG 010) is a 1/43 high detail kit of the Scuderia Montjuich Ferrari 512M which secured 2nd place in the 1971 Tour de France Auto. This kit follows two previously releases of the 512 M in privateer livery and provides builders with the opportunity to build a striking, yellow model
Let’s open the box and take a look
This kit is a high detail release, with full cockpit, front suspension and cooling, and a full engine compartment. The kit features a combination of cast white metal, photo etch, rubber tyres and smaller detail parts for the light lens and suspension.
The included decals provide sharply printed markings for this unique entry.
Full colour instructions include a render of the finished model, clearly illustrating the wonderful yellow livery.
As is typical with our releases, the instruction provide clear and methodical build sequence, with colour guidance for each part.
Of note, cast templates are included to assist in trimming the vac-formed clear parts to precisely the required shape.

A bonus photo of the front of the car. What a marvellous sight it would have been to see (and hear) this incredible machine blasting along public roads across France.
Opening the bag of smaller cast parts reveals a treasure trove of details.
With the parts spread out, the scale of the design and production for this kit is evident. Every part has been engineered to fit perfectly, and carry high levels of detail.
