MTG 003 – FERRARI 512 S WINNER 12H SEBRING 1970
Hi everyone, today I present you the new assembly kit of the Ferrari 512 S winner of the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1970, driven by I. Giunti, N.Vaccarella and M.Andretti. The assembly kit is produced by the new Italian brand MONTEGROSSO and distributed by Tameo Kits.
I placed all the pieces on my A3 mat and I must say that they almost occupy most of them …
In addition to the countless parts that make up the kit, I want to highlight the four pages of assembly instructions in A3 format …. I find them very detailed and clear.
Okay, now let’s move on to the metal casting. I start with parts that make up the bodywork and the engine hood …. I think they are perfect!
In addition to the white metal castings, we discover the components necessary to complete the model. In the box we find the vaacum formed PVC windows supplied in two copies. The interesting thing is that every single acetate is accompanied by a metal jig to facilitate cutting. I would say very useful! In addition, I want to highlight the headlights, very well defined … very faithful to the real ones!
Now let’s move on to the tires. As usual they are made of real rubber with a very well done tread design. Mounted on the rim, the effect is nothing short of amazing.
In addition, we find photoetche parts, the various pipes, lights, springs for the shock absorbers and the 12 turned intake trumpets.
In the kit there is only one sheet of decals, I believe that in this case it is sufficient since there are very few.
Lastly, I want to focus once more on metal parts. Here are some photos:
I just have to wish you good work …
See you next time!
