We are happy to announce that we will be producing another model in the World Champion series after a long time.
This is the Ferrari 500 F2 of the 1953 British Grand Prix won by the Italian driver Alberto Ascari who graduated world champion at the end of season 1953.
This kit was designed with a new philosophy. Following the process of simplification already adopted for some time, we have tried to create a very faithful and detailed model by keeping the number of pieces within a reasonable threshold, trying to imagine the less experienced model maker working on this model.
The main parts are cast in white metal. Wire wheels are photo etched with turned aluminum wheels. The engine bonnet opens, leaving the engine faithfully reproduced but easy to assemble.
The real novelty of this model is the realization of the smallest details in brass with the lost wax casting process. This method allows very small thicknesses keeping the strength of the brass, much stiffer than the white metal.
The model is under construction. We will communicate the date of market launch as soon as possible.
